If You Like it, then You Should Have Put a Sweater On It…

Sweaters have basically been my uniform the past couple of weeks. Sweaters over blouses, sweaters over plaid shirts, sweaters over dresses, etc. The comfiness and warmth that it brings to your outfit as you brave the outdoors this winter season  is the cherry on top. 🙂 So if you have that collared shirt or summer dress that you can’t bear to keep hidden in your closet, go ahead and put a sweater on it.

So I just realized that SWA has been around for over a year and I missed my chance for a “Blog’s First Birthday” post. Sorry blog, I didn’t mean to forget.

But I want to thank YOU, for taking the time to reading, following, and encouraging. Cheers to many more years together! 🙂

Here’s a snapshot of my first post and my attempt today to recreate it.
{Apparently, I was a better jumper back then. :P}

The Red Brocade

Last weekend, I took off my teacher hat and partied it up in Florida at my cousin’s wedding. If you don’t know already, I have been blessed with a wonderfully big extended family. We are so tight-knit that it’s kind of scary and weird to some people. Here are some snippets:

What I wore:
Dress
: AnthropologieSimilar // Necklace: Talbots – Similar – Sale
Shoes: DSW: Similar

I loved wearing this red dress so much that I decided to try and dress it down for work.

Sweater: Anthropologie – Similar // Boots: DSW – Similar
Belt: Anthropologie – Similar

Note: Do not be confused with Brocade and Brigade.

BTW, I know some of you may be wondering “Why all the fashion posts? Where’s all the crafts?” Well, getting dressed is a MUST-DO, while crafting is a MAY-DO. I can’t show up to work in my PJ’s now, can I? When I have more time to craft, don’t worry, you’ll be the first to know.

I should have titled this post “Fix-its”.
Problem 1: I wanted to wear the dress, but it was slightly chilly.
Fix-it 1: Layer with a sweater
Problem 2: The sweater was a tad loose and had no shape due to stretching.
Fix-it 2: Add a belt
Problem 3: Tired due to staying up to watch Revenge and Once Upon a Time.
Fix-it 3: Two cups of coffee and smile and hope that your students won’t notice.
