I’ve been challenging myself lately to be more creative with my wardrobe as I begin to realize that there’s little to no room in my closet and I cannot bear to part with anything at the moment! And so I rediscovered this classic dress from Lulu*s (last seen here) and wanted to try to put a different spin on it by wearing a skirt over it.
Lulu*s has such a great collection of designs that are stylish, yet classic and versatile. I mean, my students honestly said that I looked like a teacher that stepped out of a movie.
And so I thank you Lulu*s. The credit goes to you.

What a great idea! Thank you for sharing!
You are so welcome Yvette! 🙂
That looks great! Every time I try the skirt over dress look it looks frumpy. Maybe I’m just not doing it right. 😛 Good for you for trying to rework something in your closet! I love that.

Aw thanks so much Jen! Yea, sometimes it doesn’t work out but I suggest a soft thin fabric dress and make sure it’s relatively short and add a pencil skirt for a less “frumpy” look. 🙂
Oh my, I love this outfit! The polka dots and the coach bag…yes please 😉
Thanks so much! 🙂
Absolutely love that top! So cute!

Classy is the perfect word for this hook-up! I would wear this to work any day! I love the polka dot top the most!!
You do truly look like a teacher from the movies, haha. Love this dress layering (I actually just posted my own dress layering post today, coincidence!) and those shoes are top notch.
