I was debating about boycotting posting anything red for this month in retaliation of Valentine’s Day, but then I’d just be that person. Instead, I’m going to set aside my feelings of this holiday and “Unlock the Red”. Okay, okay, I’m not really against the holiday, but I’m not one of those “OMG I need a Valentine” or the “I hate S.A.D.” girls either. Oh wait, but did I just admit that I am by denying it? Oh shoot.
Anyways, I found this top at Goodwill and thought the lock pattern was cute. It is definitely on the border of a type of pattern that my students might be caught wearing, but I think pairing it with an “adult” looking jacket, skinny jeans, and heels make it appropriate for a high-school-looking-but-really-the-teacher 23 year-old woman.

The hills in the background reminds me of the East Bay Hills in Cali. Love the shirt and shoes!
Oh! I’m actually located in the Bay Area, so maybe that’s why they look familiar! 🙂 And thanks! ❤
What a good find! And you didn’t have to alter at all?? Love your blog~~
Thanks! Yea not at all! The only thing I had to do was safety pin the top because it was too low. Are you a thrifter too?
Lol I am a wannabe thrifter. The last two years I’ve been living in the middle of nowhere and there are no thrift stores. But I’ll be living in Cali Bay area come April so I look forward to their vintage/thrift stores!
Oh awesome! Yea, I’m located in the Bay Area. Let me know if you need suggestions!
Are you seriously??! I would LOVE suggestions! Whenever you get a chance!
love this!

Great look-! It’s very “quietly” Valentines :)!!
Thanks! Yea, that was what I was going for. 🙂
Too funny, I boycott valentine’s colors too! You look amazing though and this is the perfect mix of “boycott” and showing a little “love” hehe.
xx Cara
Haha! Thanks! We should start a club. 🙂 ❤
Looking gorgeous dear.x I am not a huge fan of Valentine’s Day either, not that I don’t like the romantic atmosphere and everything, but I just think that you don’t really need a “day” to show that you care for someone! Love your blouse and it looks perfect paired with the grey blazer! Such a chic and elegant outfit.x Have a lovely week.

Stephanie
Thanks Stephanie! And yea, why just show your love one day a year?! It should be a daily thing! Thanks for your sweet comments. Appreciate it. ❤
Wow, I can’t believe you thrifted that top! It looks great on you and definitely like anything you’d see at the malls. Great find!
